When I enrolled in college, I was one of the good students in my class. So what happened is that people started asking me to help them and of course, I wanted to be the good guy and start helping them. There is nothing bad about this but more and more people started referring to me to help them. I felt really good about it. But the problem was, I didn’t have time to work on what I was really passionate about. It’s one thing to be distracted when you’re trying to focus. It’s another entirely to be hijacked before you even get to start.

1.Learn to say NO 

 So this is how I learned one of the most important lessons in my life. learn to say NO otherwise, forget about being productive or achieving what you wanted in life. A peer will ask you for advice and help co-workers will want you on their team. Friends will request your assistance. Strangers will seek you out invitations and interruptions will come at you from everywhere imaginable how you handle all this will determine the time you’re able to devote your one thing and the results you are ultimately able to produce remember that there is always will be an unlimited amount of work every single day. 

But there is always will be a limited amount of time. The only way to be successful is to say to everything no and yes to that one thing. That’s the challenge. Everything seems important family, friends, college, work, whatever. Always remember that when you’re saying yes to something you’re saying no to everything else. It’s the essence of keeping a commitment, start turning down other requests outright or saying no for now to distractions, so that nothing distracts you from getting to your top priority. Learning to say no can and will liberate you. It’s how you will find the time to do one thing. So the first idea is to learn to say, No.

What a lot of people don’t get is that not very good things happen on the way to achieve your goal. You have to accept the fact that either you want it or not, you will have fights or arguments with your spouse, you will face family problems, there will be people who will disappoint you. So what most people do in this situation is that they give up, a problem comes in and for the rest of the day, you pissed off not understanding that they’re part of the journey.

 Imagine if you approach every problem that will be in your life or something that you have to come across something you have to deal with no matter what happens. So the best thing to do is to keep calm and move on when things didn’t go the way you wanted. Don’t waste time and feeling sad, disappointed, angry so that you don’t get distracted from that one thing you have to achieve. Because as we said before, it’s part of the journey. Problems are natural. 

In fact, the more you focus on what you want, the more of it you will probably get. That’s okay, and that problems are a good thing. When you have got a problem. It means you’re taking action, you can grow unless you take action, and the more action you take, the more problems you will face. In fact, one of the biggest differences between productive people and unproductive people is this, the productive people come across a problem. They keep going, they take action. When unproductive people come across a problem, they stagnate, they stop. 

2. Accept chaos.

A lot of people don’t understand the fact that your performance or productivity is highly dependent on your health, no matter how hard you work today, even if you work with the whole day. But if you keep eating junk food, drinking soft drinks and not exercising at all, this could really have serious damages on your health. They might stop you completely from achieving what you want, or it might become a big distraction in your life. So what can you do?
